LOL.... And how old are your fuel lines?

Seriously... maybe the dried out old rubber is stiffening the sidewall enough that it hasn't folded from the load yet. I've experienced sidewall failure in fairly new under-rated car tires on my bus in the past and was quite impressed with the increased steering response after the move to proper-rated 185R14's.
