Both my blowouts had less than ten thousand miles on them. '84 Westy, both left-rear FWIW.

Not to mention that Sylvan quit reaching for the grab handle every time we went around a corner...I'd previously replaced the OE shocks with Bilstein with little effect on the wallow, but changing to whatever were the then-available Michelin 185R14C tires had a dramatic effect. As a side benefit, no more blowouts. ;-)
