Guys,

I have a front door that is starting to pop open while under way. Not all the way open just the first detent of the latch mechanism. I have tried adjusting the striker bar in and out, up and down but this does not seem to help, so I am assuming that it is the latch spring that is giving way. Why when it shuts fine is not clear to me. It's mighty frustrating to have to constantly reach over ( it's the passenger side) and pull the door shut again, while under way.

I'm hoping there is a work around to get it to stay, at least temporarily ( wire, or a rag in the door jam?) as I have to make a road trip and having the cold winter air coming in is not an exciting thought.

any thoughts appreciated!

-john
