Acceleration is more about torque than horsepower.

Dixie weighs ~4000 lbs with me in the driver's seat. The WBX had 90 hp and 115 ft/lbs torque, the Subaru 2.5 has 165hp and 165 ft/lbs torque.

Divide. ;)
