dear back to the vanagon our vans have a feature that sets them apart from virtually every form of other vehicle the walk thru between the seats so ... get a rubber maid step and place this out side the van at the sliding door grasp the suicide handle by the door /roof and step up with ease ... my 90 year old mom with bad knees can do so with out too much trouble once in the van she can walk around with ease and i then step in to hold her hands while she plops back into the back seat... you on the other hand will simply make your way with head bowed if you are really tall ... to the front and lift up arm rest and slide on in or sit down and then turn whole body to driving position ... reverse to exit ... tie a good string to step so you can pull up and in with out having to bend over after aboard .. just like the fender on your boat ... permission to carry on captain carry on seaman aiy aiy sir yours

Thankfully it's an automatic so when I am cleared to drive, it won't be a big issue. In between the surgery and then, though, I'll need to devise a way to get in and out of it. > > Or .... My other option is to buy a 2nd vehicle, which actually, I'd like to do anyway. I have the means to make payments on something (the van is owned free and clear) but I don't have money for a down payment so I'm not sure I can even do it. > > Anyway, any suggestions appreciated. > > > ~Annie > Sent from my iPhone
