  So I pulled the speedo out (I am getting really good at disconnecting that
pod) and put a small screwdriver gently into the speedo drive, contacting
first the bronze bushing..twirled it with my fingers and ........."Scritch
scritch scritch!"....Then I put a smaller screwdriver further in there,
gently and spun the needle a bit...a little 'grainy' feeling but not
alarming.  I put a drop of air-tool lube in there, the stuff I use for my
pneumatic nailers and air drills and sanders...it is light and has a
non-sticky anti-dirt quality...so they say.
  With preliminary twirling, the sound is gone from that bronze bushing.  I
shall test drive later today.  And I remembered to plug in that long flat
plug that I sometimes forget and to test all the light switches, etc before
I need to use the van.
