No, I don't agree with any of the accolades, awards and such.
I got my award by being able to help. I was honored by being chosen by him
from the list to do it.
I got my award by having gotten paid for it, BTW. While he saved a few
hundred.
I got my award by having being thanked, given a handshake, meeting a nice
person.
He held the umbrella over my legs that were sticking out from under the
van, - while water was dripping in my ear.
We got wet, but had a hot chocholate inside Denny's, which I returned by
being too watery, then got a good one with apologies.
I got richer by the experience.
And since it was a small help, a small fix, I have forgotten already. Much
greater deeds are not spoken of, and I don't care.
So, as I expect, when I will need help, I would like to be treated the same.
And that is why we are so close in this List. You never know where and when
you will need you fellow member when you are on the road. He was 300 miles
from home. Now he is back safely and all is well.
And that's a reward.
Any other stuff is BS.
Sorry to hold you up with this.
Zoltan
