Although a road trip to Belize would be epic, I am actually flying down there with my wife and repairing a Vanagon that is already down there. Sorry my trip isn't as exciting as you imagined, but it is exciting to me. I think it will still be an adventure without taking the better part of a year trying to get down there :-)

You think about it, it is not as far as California driving, but the roads are sketchy at best and then there would be getting through Mexico in a Vanagon, which would not be something I would want to attempt right now. Maybe when I get a 50 cal machine gun turret mounted on the roof. Then we will see.
