If you are willing to give up the idea of a straight, rigid crossover tube you can use hose and make it long enough that it can go under the shift rod etc. Leave plenty of slack, assemble it all before raising the tank and put the extra hose on the crossmember at the front of the tank. This really does work. The plastic tees at the ends of the crossover tube should be replaced anyway. Getting old. I had one crack recently on a '91. Buy or fabricate a substitute out of brass. Be very careful pulling the small hoses off the nipples on the expansion tanks under the wheelwells. Twist gently. Carve the hose off with a knife if it is petrified. Larry A.
