Hi David,
that's great the carriage bolt holes are ok.
I don't always use the factory carriage bolt there though .
It's hard to thread in there from 'the other side' of the alternator ..
would be easy if the intake runners were not installed of course.
I've seen many with a good through bolt with 13mm hex head and nut and that
works very nicely.
*especially* if things are kept tight of course.
I'm fairly confident about my interaction with the hospital staff.
I don't as a rule, do *any* 'white man drugs' ..
and I don't mind enduring some pain.
What I am expecting is they will want to baby me and treat me like I have no
brains, and no noting about taking care of my own body.
Had a nice conversation the other day in the 'getting set up phase' and
they're starting to get all nutty about whatever special needs I might have
..
I just told them ....I'm not afraid of a little pain, I don't do a lot of
drugs , I don't mind being uncomfortable some ...like 'don't fuss over me
too much' ...
etc.. that I'm pretty healthy and tough.
they said 'we need more patients like you.'
I do not even beleive in their system that much.
they are far, far too drug happy in my opinion ...and those can be very
deadly drugs.
Heck ....just look at the two full pages of fine print about possible side
affects in any magainze advertizing Levitra or whatever ...
I'm proud to say I don't even know what that is really.
and the side affects..
dont' get me started, but the FDA ....
is run by drug companies...and it's mostly a government supported scam ...
not that they can't produce great relief and results sometimes ...
but , in my opinion ......there is a craze of 'throw drugs at most
conditions' ..
and ...statistically ...the # of people over say 50, that are on some
presccription drug ..
the # is 10 times what it was 15 years ago.
Hell, it took me about 10 years to find out that one possible side affect of
Viagra ..
that they barely ever mention is hearing and vision loss or problems.
About 10 years ago I woke up one morning with 100 % total total hearing loss
in my left ear...
and I have always protected my hearing ....around jet engines , rock music,
etc...
I don't know if it was that 'white man' drug back then..
a factor possibly ...
my point is ..
you can NOT really believe what Phiser, or the Gov or anyone says ....
if they told the real truth they'd say ..
this stuff works, but it comes with risk of possible permant serious side
affects.
My diagnosis of that hearling loss after working on it for a few years was
'stroke of the auditory nerve' ..
and it fits what strokes are like....sudden major loss, followed by very,
very slow recovery.
I have about 30 % or possibly a bit better hearing recovery now in that left
ear.
and the doctor I saw immediately after that incident ...an idiot basiclly I
thoght .
Just like I see bad car and vanagon work all the time...
I have had very few real results or good expereinces with doctors ..
I've had several conditions that I figured out years later on my own.
And I always manage my own health ..
I think the notion 'do what your doctor says' is really not for smart people
..
and I think they must train doctors to always act like they know what's
going on ..
but there is much that goes on with the human body and brain that they are
really powerless about, and most white man drugs treat the symptom ...not
actually fix anything.
And at the same time I will say ....thankgoodness for some of those drugs
...
but be careful !
They almost couldn't beleive I'm not on some prescirption drug there ..
this older woman looked at a form I that I left blank ..
'what about your meds? ' ....she said.
I don't do that stuff I said. Not unless I really have to or there's no
other form of repair or relief.
btw ....personally I work thourgh trusting personal relationships.
And I only enter into business relationships with trusting honest decent
people ..
actually I need to watch out for 'the customer' a hundred times more than
any customer needs to watch out for me not delivering full solid results.
last line. I do not naturally trust any techincians , based on bad work I
see, things I read.
But I had a good feeling about this surgeon.
After our first visit and x-rays .....they needed to send me across the
street to another doctor to get checked out about if I'm healthy enough for
surgurey .......after we talked a while..
he just told the assitant ...'just have them sign it off, he's real healthy
and doesn't like doctors' ..
I thought he was pretty cool.
I'm optimistic, I sure should be better off ..
as it is eventually I would not be able to walk .
I'm dancing in a hula presentation tomorrow night too ..
me and three other 'kane' ( men ) and about 15 women at least.
Two numbers with just 4 men, then a big number with a bunch o' women and us
guys. ( should be back up to about 8 guys in our 'halau' next session.
btw ...hula is not just about dancing ..
and there are two kinds....the kind most people think or know of is called
'aunna'..that's modern hula done to stringed instruments ..the swishy kind
of hula ...tourist hula.
the 'real hula' is called Kahiko ...that's ancient style..done only to
chanting and rhythms played on a large gourd instrument ......it's warrior
like even ...that's the real stuff..
and ...it's far more than dancing ..it is an earth-connected spiritual path.
And it sure keeps ya fit too. Check out Kane Kahiko Hula on youtube for some
samples of this ancient sacred art.
one of my hula buds and his wife are leaving for Oahu the next morning
after that performance ..
and I'll be going to get the ole right hip fixed. I believe it's going to
work out.
