Be mindful of the surfaces you will be using the creepers on. Select the creeper's wheels accordingly. If your outdoor surface has cracks or breaks in it, you will want to find a creeper that the wheels won't get stuck. I have an old-fashioned set of disc-type wheels on my creeper, and darned if they don't find every crack in the driveway, leaving the creeper immobile. I have slid right off it a couple of times, trying to move, and creeper stops abruptly...

My Son, age 12, has made the case that if I expect his help working on our '84 Vanagon and doing the wiring under our model railroad tables, he is entitled to a mechanic's creeper for Christmas.

What do you folks suggest for a creeper or two (maybe Dad should get one for himself)?

Thanks in advance.

John
