Harry, You didn't say whether things were loose at the top end of the filler and at the expansion tank or at the gas tank itself. Loose/deteriorated lines at the plastic tank above the wheel can perhaps be repaired by splicing in some new line, but you will probably have to drop the tank to replace it properly as it is probably getting too old. The main filler pipe vent is a larger diameter hard plastic tube which runs parallel to the filler and is quite durable. Its end plugs into a grommet on the top of the tank. Any hose you use needs to be rated at least for low pressure fuel. No need for high pressure fuel injection hose on this side of the fuel pump. Very likely you can look forward to dropping the tank, a challenging job, especially the first time. Ask questions if the procedure is not clear. Our on-line vendors have kits of hoses and grommets.

good luck, Larry A.
