I've been asking around about getting a used instrument cluster so that I can get one with a good voltage stabilizer (mine won't produce the 10 volts needed). Then I did an archive search and there was a post back in 1998 about this part.  The upshot was that the voltage stabilizer should be replaceable with any matching 10 volt part.  My local shop also confirmed he only wanted the voltage stabilizer, not necessarily the entire cluster. It would be good to get the OEM part though.  Could someone with ETKA please search and see if there is a VW part number for the voltage stabilizer? Any ideas about replacing this part are welcome.  I want to have a working coolant temp gauge soonest so I don't endanger my new wasserboxer. Thanks, Anthony'89 Syncro GL (Hidalgo)
