Mine does have a remote and draws about .4 amps when I don't have the
master switch off.  The remote is a "must have" feature as far as I'm
concerned for the camper application.  I have mine wired to aux
battery so I don't worry about it for an overnight period.  But I do
make sure I turn off the master switch most of the time and
especially if I leave the van for days.  Mine is a cheap one I got at
Target for about $89 iirc.  Has many features, but pretty cheaply
made.  One of the often used button on the faceplate has started to
work erratically.  It is model: VRCD400-SDU from this
