Joy, appreciate the help. I think I am going to go ahead and buy one on
ebay in the US. I have had many nice offers of loaner ones here on the
list and I really appreciate that. However I hate to have to worry
about damaging or losing someones phone so I am just going to buy one.
As Karl said you can get a good used unlocked phone for around $25-39
here in the US on ebay. The place we are staying in Belize is a
residence built just a couple of years ago by an American couple. They
had it wired to US spec with 110v power so I can use the normal US
charger there and don't have to worry about voltage issues or plug
compatibility. To the list, I want to say, thank you so much for your
advice, help and support. This is more than just a bunch of people. It
is a rather large and diverse family and I am proud to be a member of it!
Of course as family members, you will get the "priviledge" to be bored
to tears with my trip photos when we return. I will post them and then
send a link to the list to "enjoy" :-)
