The cold start valves are battery voltage devices. The air cooled injectors are current operated devices. 3 ohms at 12 volts = 4 amps. They will burn out fairly quick if left energized. The water cooled injectors are ~ 16 ohms so they draw .75 amp.

they'll be all right operating them on 12 volts for bench testing. or at least, I can say I have operated hundreds of injectors and cold start valves on 12 volts and never hurt one.
