I was thinking of the PTO nose cone for the syncro. its an offset
drive output up and beside the prop shaft output. Quite rare, but
less so in europe, and for some reason, Norway.

But the reg. syncro propshaft output could be used, it is an
interesting concept.

Which raises the question: could a syncro transmission be used in a
2WD van to create a hybrid drive vanagon? Push the transmission the
other way using an electric motor to spin the rear wheels.

What an interesting idea....  Wonder how much the appropriate
electric motor would cost?
