Put an insulated crocodile clip or a Faston terminal on one -- when you want to monitor a wire you can install one of those 3M squeeze-on terminals. As well as Ken's neat little LM3914 voltmeter for the O2 sensor, check out www.nkcelectronics.com -- they'll charge you $55 for a ( www.jyetech.com ) DS062-improved storage oscilloscope that will store 256 samples at intervals ranging from two microseconds down to one minute apart in 1-2-5 increments. Vertical sensitivity from 100 mv to five volts per division, also in 1-2-5. If you care to wait a few months, JYE Tech will be bringing out a fully housed 'scope with hugely improved specs for about twice the money, but the existing one has plenty of capability to be very useful around a Vanagon.
