This one is tempting, speaking of going to AZ for a van. If you come to
Phoenix, let me know and I'll buy the beer. Looks pretty nice in the pics,
too. Classic '88 Wolfsburg. Power locks, removable bucket seats and bench
seat that folds into full size bed. Only 20,000 mi on new clutch and engine
direct from Germany! Air compressor, belts, hoses all replaced. ORIGINAL
PAINT, NEW WINDSHIELD 12/10, Original owner and new tires. 97,000 on
chassis. Sacrifice $6500.

There's also an ad for an '85 Westy from a month ago.
Overall in good shape, custom luggage rack on the back and also a custom
bike rack for the front. Everything works, stove and referator, water system
for the little sink.
This is a classic campervan with great design, come see call 206 940 1380
Power steering, 1.9 L engine, or best offer MUST SELL. It looks at least OK
in the pics.

and how often can you find a working referator??
If someone is SERIOUSLY interested, I can look at either of these, though
both are about thirty miles from me, and in opposite directions.

|Here's the glass half full scenario:
|
|Spend $400 on a round trip ticket from Boston to CA, buy a $5000 rust
|free, functioning van and put it on a truck for $1000. You're back in
|Boston for less than $6500 and you've got a rust-free van that needs
|nothing.
|
|There's two, high mileage rust-free vans on SF Craigslist for $1500.
|There's also an engine for $800. A total of 8 vans up there right now,
|all for less than $3000. I spent all of two minutes to find those.
|
|Or... you could leave our rust-free vans here and help the auto body
|guys in Boston make their boat payments.
