Subject: Interior Door Panel Compatibility and door speaker size
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

I'm in need of replacement interior door panels for my '85 Wolfsberg Weekender and am having a hard time finding replacements. I've considered making some from scratch out of some nice plywood like I've seen done, but for now I just need to get something on the doors so I can install some speakers.

I've found a pair of panels out of a 1980 aircooled Westy on TheSamba that are the right color and everything. Will these fit my doors? (will the panel clips line up with the holes in the doors?)

These panels (out of the 1980) did not have speakers ever installed, which is kind of nice, because I'd like to install 5" or 6" speakers lower down on the door where a large rectangular cutout happens to be, instead of up higher by the window crank. Has anyone here installed larger speakers down low in the location I'm describing?

Thanks for your help!

Jon
