Oh, one more thing. I found it helpful to have a good big vise to hold one part or the other. A vice that can hold tube/pipe, and use some rubber on the jaws to protect the bar etc.

Warm the bushing up with hairdryer/hot water too.

Well. That's helpful. I've done lots of work on the vehicle, but not this (in 28 years). I have used dishwashing liquid as a lubricant before for tight fitting rubber and I have silicone grease but do not have hairspray - It is years since I've had enough hair to need it.

Silicone grease (such as SuperLube - don't use petroleum grease) is your friend. Liquid dishwashing detergent in a pinch. Use some sandpaper to make sure the end of the sway bar is smooth.
