On my 90 2wd auto.....looking out the window I noticed my van was sitting in a pool of liquid. I ran out and there was fuel pouring from the engine compartment. I could hear the fuel pump running. I disconnected the battery ground, stopping the pump. Upon inspection, the wiring harness had shorted out. It looked like the short initiated at the power steering pressure switch. These spade connectors come from the factory, clad in plastic. In this case, these factory connectors had been replaced by uninsulated connectors at some point. Anyway, it sure looked as if this is where it originated as one of the two wires was disconnected and resting on metal, the wire was fried. If I recall my Bentley electrical search, these wires are not fused? (please jump in here if you would.) Fortunately, I had another wiring harness and I was operational in a few hours. This is interesting when considering the various scenarios that could burn up our vans. Miguel
