Your right in having the fp regulator on your list of possible culprits, but no more than that. The fp regulator isn't senstive to temperature .. so one wouldn't normally associate your simptom with it. Though it could be bad .. but it's not at all time to get one and put it on yet.

I pay attention more to Temp Sensor II, timing, if 02 sensor is weird/dead/tired .. and the ole throttle switch. And it's good to know what the fuel pressure is ... though I havn't seen an fp regulator that was bad cold, but fine hot.

I just check ALL the adjustments and all that stuff. Could be tired plug wires ..... or other things. I recommned 'test and diagnose' rather than 'what part it must be.' Lots of vans I fix ...it's not 'a part' per se. it's usually more like 4 half not right things, and one very not right thing.

I tried to search for this in the archives but I couldn't find anything. I could swear I saw this topic before. It sputters and stalls and generally sounds like crap until it warms up. Then it runs great. It seems to be flooding. When it stalls it takes a couple of minutes before it will start again. Am I right in suspecting the fuel pressure regulator? Thanks again, Steve
