  Perhaps a tongue-in-cheek variation of latissimus - as in "latissimus
dorsi" or in the weight lifters world - "lats".


The latissimus dorsi is the widest muscle of the back, and when
exercised for definition, gives one a very wide chested appearance.
Lying on ones back on a poor quality creeper the Lats  would be good
muscles to easily get pinched.
