I see Moog 5658 springs (I believe these fit Chevy Blazers and Montecarlos) should give me just about the front ride height, 17"+, that I have now, but almost 50% stiffer (if my current springs are OEM). My rear springs are definitely HD though brand/model unknown - in spite of Cunegonde being a Westy with a lot of heavy items under the rear seat, she's more more than 1" higher in the rear than the front, about 18.5". The current plan is to take her to Halsey Automotive or another locally recommended shop and have them diagnose the primary problem(s). If indeed the spring is it, then we'll install the Moogs and whatever bushings are necessary. Wish us luck it's just a busted spring and some worn small bits! Thanks for all the help. Will provide update and costs when I know more. I'm a bit sad I can't quite do this myself.
