The personal touch is always nice. ;-/

I used to be semi neighbors with a fellow who was a welder and got tired of the snowplows taking out his mailbox. He started out by filling a couple pieces of 4" schedule-80 pipe with concrete and sinking them thirty feet in the ground, then built up from there. I dunno the rest of the details, but I had the mailbox pointed out to me some years later and it was standing proud. Seems to me there might have been some brick involved, for the look of the thing. I suspect he gave the town fair warning.
