I could have used one of those many, many years ago at the very first VW bus event/camp out I attended. It was at French Creek state park in PA. I left after work on a Friday night, got to the general vicinity around 10:00pm, back roads of PA and no moon. It was so dark and I got so lost, by midnight I still hadn't found the campground. I finally came upon a huge building out in the middle of nowhere , about 40-50 cars in the parking lot. I knocked on the door and a woman opened up a smaller door within the door and asked what I wanted-I could see behind her that this was a private club in a dry county. Anyway, I told her I was looking for French Creek State Park, turns out I was about a mile away. Finally found the place ans started driving around the camp ground loop-no one, no VW buses anywhere! I started thinking I had gotten chumped when I came upon a small group of VW buses (forgot to mention this was February, thats why the camp ground was deserted). I was so tired at this point I pulled into the first open spot I saw between the buses and crawled into the back and went to sleep. Woke up the next morning to find I had parked on the path to the bathrooms! Happy New Year everyone! Jeff

I use it to find stuff at night. Like driving along on a dark back highway, I can spy side roads ahead and light them up as they take off into the woods to see if they might be possible campsites. I don't have to turn the van to get light on stuff. Also handy to use around camp or for helping light up tasks around the van at night and for an extra strong nighttime driving light in deer invested areas. Good back up light, too.

The fireworks make our doggies real nervous..and last year some nut had an assault rifle somewhere nearby..that was a bit disconcerting.
