Have you tried supplying + straight the FP ? (bypassing relay as per Bentley). If that works it might be the ign. switch, FP relay, but since you did a swap, I'd look toward whatever wiring adaptation you did first.

There is a thread over on thesamba about alternate fuel pump. Yah I recall it was for a Ford too.
