PST used to be a NEATO chapter, but we dissolved our affiliation. When Jo & I stumbled on the chapter back in '94, I think that we were the only Vanagon that had ever showed up at its camping events. Back then the boys gave us a hard time over our "Rolling Condo", but later on, all of the kids who had kept the club going back in the day and prided themselves on their daily drivers which were older than they were, discovered girls, got lives, and sorta drifted away. I'm glad that before all that happened, I got the chance to get to take a cross country trip out and back in a '54 Barndoor Kombi, a trip I'd repeat in a heartbeat. Our only breakdown was a flat tire. I have posted our notice on FMBC's calendar the past couple of years, but never have posted to Samba. Guess I should give it a shot, and I'll give Ermal a heads up. George/ATL. |
