This is part of what I had wondered initially; frame rail alignment. The PO receipts showed an accident FR. But....

Hammer aside, ;) it seems the real issue is long pipe placement by my hand.

During swap to water cooling, fuel tank was out. I don't know if there's stock holes for front pipe clamp screws. Regardless.... since I mangled the pipe support clamp from the '85 parts van during removal, I made *two* clamps to support the pipes. This created a substantial gap between the pipes likely positioning passenger side pipe too far over thus too close to tank shoulder thus not allowing it to seat high enough up.
