Most RVs of that era use the fixed cord design. Gets past the concept that the single flap covers are not listed to be connected while it is raining. Most RVs that actually have the cord connector on the outside of the body use a marine type weather tight connectors.

On my '84, it's a hole that the attached shore power cord threads through. (Terrible design.)
