Good call Mark. Thanks for that link to the photo. I see what you mean about the front being shorter.

With my old non-captain seats I needed to put the driver's seat back it's extreme upright position for easy clearance for my old style kitchen top. And I will need to do the same with the captain's chairs.

I'm not sure if the reconfigured front eliminates the need to put the seat back in the extreme upright position to open the kitchen.

Whatever the case, thanks for clearing up it's a little more than a different top. I'll have to give the new seats a while and see if I can function comfortably with the older configuration. I have a feeling (with the aid of this new info.) I will be able to.

Maybe that's still the case with the later model top as well.
