I tried a turbo on my slightly built 2.1 a few yrs ago. Tried several different used turbo's and a 2.0 mid 80's Subie one did pretty well overall. I wasn't able, with my limited modern custom fuel system knowledge, to easily get the creature to keep a decent mixture. Did run like a hot 2.2 subie at least and was fun to drive but I wasn't willing to hurt my new engine just to try it longer. Did the Zetec and sold the motor and turbo separately. Several others have don't it, but never heard of any long term results.. Go for it Zoltan...

I don't remember if this was mentioned through the years I'm on the List. I have spoken to an old engine builder and he thinks our 2.1 engines should be able to handle it. He says, they are putting on turbo on all kind of engines that did not come with it originally. But I don't know anyone who has one on. It could add that extra few horses that we so desperately need sometimes. What does the List say? Zoltan
