That'll learn me to read mail from the latest to the earliest.

Mr. Lepage sent the confirm message to vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com rather than listserv@gerry.vanagon.com. It happens ALL the time. Listserv commands such as confirm VANAGON and set VANAGON digest must, repeat MUST be sent to the listserv, not the mailing list. Since he sent it to vanagon@gerry, everybody gets a copy. To put it simply:
