Yes.  The AlKo's aren't dirt-cheap (about $55 each with list discount), but
I'd call them the "best bang for the buck" in a Vanagon shock, at least for
now. (AlKo's pricing tends to vary, and at one point they actually priced
themselves so far out of the market that I stopped carrying them until they
decided to get competitive again.)  At current pricing they're slightly
cheaper than the stock Boge replacements, yet are more comparable to Boge's
uprated Heavy Duty shocks (which are $95 each). While heavier duty than the
original equipment Boge shocks, they are oil-damped like the Boges, striking
a relatively good balance between handling and comfort - not too soft, but
also not as harsh riding as some gas-charged shocks.

That said, my favorite shocks if price is no object are the Koni's, which we
sell for about $100 each ... but that's about twice the price of the AlKo's.
