Since you mention breaking I'll add that my Syncro has 16's with big tires and stock brakes!! I have noticed a decrease In braking power :( but putting my skill into play I use the engine to help! On the other hand in my svx powered carat, I have huge disk brakes Front and rear with a porsche master! It does not brake like a vanagon at all. The pedal takes almost no effort and I can stop on a dime
