Here there are these huge speed humps in the road. Usually three or four per area. They are so huge that you have to slow down to 5 mph to get over them without ripping the suspension out from under you. After you come to the 100th one they lose any novelty and just become pure annoying. These are on every road here and even what they would consider a "highway" so it really slows you down when traveling across the country like we were. We rented a small SUV, called a Suzuki Jimny. It is cute, and is supposed to be good off road.

that reminds me of mexico... in the yucatan jungle the villagers would string HUGE ropes across the road to act as speed bumps.. they had to be at least 6" in diameter and were made literally of braided vines. like ken said, you had to stop and roll over them at a snails pace or they would damage your suspension..

also the suzuki jimny is basically a suzuki samurai. they only called it the samurai in north america, it was called the jimny everywhere else..

good luck with the repairs..you just missed out on another snowstorm here in the NE :)
