This is neither here nor there relative to your problem because my issue was harmonic vibration. My Syncro 16" (originally had a JX 1.6td) had an AAZ (1.9td) installed. Shortly thereafter, I would experience this vibration at speed and only when the Doka was loaded. I kicked this around with my mechanic for some time. He three her up on the lift and went through all the gears. Finally, I happen to use the tailpipe as a handrest and noted there was a bit too much movement.

Upon closer investigation, we discovered that the exhaust bracket had broken. At certain RPM's it would gently bang against the skidplate before settling at steady vibration like one of those new Dremel tools. Welded her up and all seemed good.

Months went by with no issues. There wasn't much driving then until I decided to take her to bURNINGVAN. As I accelerated to merge into traffic, I heard a loud rhythmic thumping. I was thinking tires, broken exhaust bracket again, or CV's. I was going straight so the CV's were discounted. Gonna check 'em out anyway. It quieted down as I slowed down. Speed up and there it goes again.

Back on the lift she goes. As we ran her through the gears, my mechanic said, "Ben, the left wheel is dancing all over the place." Turned out to be a bad wheel bearing.
