Do you attribute these behaviors on the part of other drivers to the fact that you are in a VW van? I experience these same behaviors from other drivers, but it doesn't matter whether I am in my camper, or another vehicle. The average driver is just stupid, perhaps more so when driving than otherwise. I noticed many years ago the tendency on the part of some drivers to speed up when another vehicle was passing them. I was quite vociferously chewed out when I brought that behavior on the part of my brother to his attention. He ended up by lamely claiming that the only reason the other driver was passing him was because he was going "too slow." He was driving 5 mph over the speed limit. That was 45 years ago, but I definitely remember it clearly, as it was a lesson to me in the irrational behavior of otherwise seemingly intelligent people when driving. I've taken the notion of defensive driving very seriously since then.
