The issue isn't Asia, there are some great tools and parts made in Asia. The
original wheel bearings in your Vanagon were probably made in Japan. I know
the front wheel bearings in all the Mercedes I owned were.
The issue is that Harbor Freight is the Wal-Mart of tools and they resell
the absolute cheapest of anything they can find. And in the case of crimp
connectors, they have gone so far as to make them unreliable.
