My MB Alloys from a 98-02 320CLK work just fine with the 215/65/16 Continental Vanco 2 tires, although they do provide a harsh ride. No Clearance issues, no reaming out the center bore like other wheels, No tire rubbing, and Samba Loogie fixed me up with the right nuts and front studs(44mm I think) so I don't have to hassle with getting the bolts up in there on such a heavy tire. Saving up for the pretty center caps, but need to eat this month. Found the wheels on ebay as I didn't need really pretty and perfect wheels, just straight ones and able to seal the bead. I think they were around $380 shipped to my house. Forged German is so much better than aftermarket cast.

Contemplating the use of an Audi AllRoad compact spare for the summertime. 205/70/16 rim and expands out to 27.2" which should get me to a repair shop since I don't have a Syncro. Still researching the ET and lug nut shape for the AllRoad however before spending any money. It should fit in the clamshell with no problems if the rim is 6" or less.
