Since it's Friday I'll feel free to add a disclaimer to Alistair's post. I'm not a photographer, nor do I play one on TV! I started posting "one photograph per day" for two reasons - the first being my terrible performance at staying in touch with people I know. I sent many of them a link to this site, and stated I'd henceforth be supplying them with a thousand words per day. A cowards way out of improving my poor typing skills.

Second, I wanted to improve my photography. This mandate (simple as it may be) forces me to produce more photos, which I hope will produce some learning.

The subject material comes from my life day-to-day, oriented around the west coast of the US. It only recently occurred to me (duh) to include some Vanagon stuff.

I think my favorite so far, taken on Dec. 30 but published Jan. 1 is this -

http://www.wordless.me/2011/01/blog-post.html

which if allowed a title, would be "birds of a feather..."

Angus
