If you've never been, go.

A final mad man drive of 12 hours Thurs. got to Craggy Wash ~ 11 PM. Stayed 2 sleeps. A large group of Colorado folks camped up hill from Bev, Bernie (and his flock) Mark Drillock and I. Mark and Bev left real early. We followed suite an hour or two later. Managed to get a nice spot facing the beach beside Mark and Bev.

Took pics of as many rides as possible, got some sun, talked Vanagon and Bus, resurrected some old Bug memories, met some new people. For a PNW guy, the sunsets were outstanding and somewhat new. Weather was great.

En route south west after event, held my Westy at 70 mph steady more than normal. No issues other than higher fuel use and likely a little more oil. He's running well. Wind conditions good, it hummed right along. Filler neck/tank reseal holding.

GPS is a good thing. Finally got one of them things.

Apologies as this is a bit of a kind Friday type post, but chose to mail now while still on such a nice broadband connection and comfy couch.Besides. I just HAD to share. <grin>

Am still in CA and will decide where to go soon enough. Sunny, and warm. Oranges hanging on trees still a novelty. <grin>

Thanks to all who made the event happen. Great stuff.
