Mike - Product Mgr and QC for the stuff that VWG/Airhead Parts manufactures and all purchasing from the major US importers. The boss is "tight" :( $300 covers the food, heart meds, car insurance and rent for a $500/mo storage room with my household goods and parts stash. I put a little bit aside in a savings account for certain road trips. I buy and sell parts on the side or at certain VW shows, profit going into savings. It's an austere life these past several years. But I have health benefits, which is worth it's weight in gold and one of the reasons my take-home is low, about $120/week for Blue Cross on their group plan. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" 75 914 1.8 "Nancy" Full Timing Since March 1999 oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Sat, Jan 22, 2011 at 10:36 PM, Mike Miller <mwmiller@cwnet.com> wrote: > What do you do for the $300? > > > On 1/22/11 9:33 PM, "Old Volks Home" <oldvolkshome@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > >> I live in my Westy full time.
