Wow, this guy (name not give) uses bisquick in addition to the egg. Must like a real fat batter. The meat shown in the picture looks like what I've seen in the deep fat fry places, although he says to fry in shallow fat. Further, he suggests that sides like greens are usual accompaniments, along with corn bread. Usually not. Mashed potatoes or French fries or home fries, a salad. And he might even serve that horrible battered, frozen and from the box okra that has become ubiquitous. Of course, Texans dredge their okra in corn meal for frying, they don't use egg batter. I'll bet his corn bread is sweetened, too. Corn bread doesn't typically accompany CFS. Hot rolls, or biscuits, not corn bread.
