Yes, the leak was at the sensor. Getting it out and back in was tight, but do-able. Both the spacer and sensor came out, so I separated them both, cleaned it all and then reassembled the spacer and sensor and put it all back in. It did take me 20 minutes to figure out why I couldn't get the wire out of the way. The zip tie was the same oil-caked color as the sensor. While tight, it was possible with a regular 24mm 1/2" socket and minor manipulation of the heat shield. I did have to carefully bend the tab of the sensor over in order to get enough room for the socket wrench to insert partially into the socket. Otherwise the tab blocked the socket wrench insertion. I put a new bright red zip-tie around the wire and sensor and all is good. I took it back to the car wash and it appears to be fixed. As jeff said, it doesn't appear that the oil cooler is to blame at all, but I do have a nice o-ring for when it does start leaking. Thanks all for the help. I've decided I need to get a little mirror so I don't have to slide my iPhone in to take pictures.
