On the 1.9l, where the ECU deals strictly with fuel and the idle stab is taken care of by advancing the timing, I'll bet a nickel that there's no way to tell without instruments whether that switch closes at closed throttle or not, and that the only deleterious effect if it doesn't is slightly lowered mileage (because the decel fuel cutoff isn't operating).
