If you're planning to go, you just missed it. A cast of thousands. Well, 37 vans and busses of many types. Lots of people. Really nice weather. Vans powered by pretty near everything. Pensionerd didn't show, wonky starter is the story, so I don't know if there was an SVX powered van, but there was an H6 powered 914 driven my Marco's wife. Sounded pretty good. Jonathan's 5 cylinder Audi diesel, TDIs, Stephan's 1.8T VW, Subaru's of various displacements, Mourkas and her rebuilt 1.9 wasser boxer sporting new headlights, A van or more accurately half a type 1 case was burned [so I hear, I missed it] . Pictures taken from on high, a 35 foot tall carbon fiber carp pole, should be posted, check the Samba. Taken by a prof from CAL who's wife came and actually was enjoying herself. Well, she was reading, not vanning, but she was having a good time she said so it counts. And - are you ready for this? And BenT showed up. In the daytime. In a VW van product [his now four door doka] Yeah, I know I thought I was on drugs too but it really happened. Honest. See you all at SyncroFest and Syncro de Mayo! Mike |
