Tabe, Go to Michaels, the craft shop, and perhaps they have some fabric stuff. I was once looking for some material or supplies to edge a carpet to prevent it from unraveling. They suggested a glue, can't recall the name unfortunately, it was clear, dried clear and hard, somewhat like the results from a glue gun without the heat and the yellow colored glue. Of course you'll never get this stuff off of the velour. If you want fasteners, then definitely bring the project to your local fabric shop, the will have all kinds of fasteners, I've gone there (yeah a guy) to get snaps and eyes and such.
