Subject: Newb Instrument Cluster Swap Tip (T14 connector)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hey all.

Small detail, maybe it's been posted but thought I'd throw it in while still fresh on my mind.

If you're re wiring the T 14 connector at the instrument cluster.....

1. the connector "flap" may have several "latches" along where the wires insert. Mine has 3 + one at each end.

2. open "flap" on the connector all the way (90*). Keep it open when inserting the wire(s). If part way closed, the female connector(s) might get squished when inserting the wire(s) causing them to sit too low causing poor or no contact between foil strips and T14.

Neil.
